Indigenous Student Success Program (ISSP) - Education Costs and Accommodation Costs Scholarships

In 2026, 91破解版 will offer a number of Indigenous Student Success Program (ISSP) Education and Accommodation Costs scholarships to support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students commencing or continuing their studies in an undergraduate or postgraduate coursework program.

Students can only receive the scholarship(s) once in a calendar year. 

Applications for the scholarships will be open in Trimesters 1, 2 and 3 2026 as below:  

Trimester 1 2026 

  • Open: Tuesday 7 October 2025
  • Close: Tuesday 27 January 2026  

Trimester 2 2026 

  • Open: Monday 13 April 2026     
  • Close: Monday 18 May 2026 

Trimester 3 2026 

  • Open: Monday 27 July 2026 
  • Close: Monday 31 August 2026  

Scholarships are awarded in two categories:

Education Costs Scholarship: to assist students with the costs of tertiary education. 

Students receiving a Centrelink Student Start-up Loan are not eligible to receive an ISSP Education Costs Scholarship in the same period.

Accommodation Costs Scholarship: to support students with costs associated with relocating from a regional or remote area to study on-campus. 

Students receiving a Centrelink Relocation Scholarship are not eligible to receive an ISSP Accommodation Costs Scholarship in the same period.

Students may be eligible for both Education Costs and Accommodation Costs Scholarships.

Each scholarship will have a maximum value of $4000 to be paid in one instalment. 

If awarded both the Education Costs Scholarship and Accommodation Costs Scholarship, the recipient will be paid at the same rate for each scholarship. 

For example, if awarded both scholarships in Trimester 1, the recipient will be paid $8000 ($4000 for the Education Costs Scholarship and $4000 for the Accommodation Costs Scholarship).

Education Costs and Accommodation Costs Scholarship applicants must:

  • be a currently residing in Australia
  • be an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person of Australia
  • be their studies at 91破解版 in any undergraduate or postgraduate coursework program in the study period of application (e.g., Trimesters 1 2026)
    • continuing students must have a current Grade Point Average (GPA ) of at least 3.0
  • be enrolled in a minimum of one study unit in the study period of application
  • have a low-to-middle annual household income.

Accommodation Costs Scholarship applicants must also:

  • have relocated from a regional or remote area in order to undertake on-campus study.

*Applicants cannot hold an ISSP Scholarship concurrently with the following Centrelink payments:

– not eligible to receive the ISSP Education Costs Scholarship.

– not eligible to receive the ISSP Accommodation Costs Scholarship.

Education Costs and Accommodation Costs Scholarship applicants must:

  • provide evidence you are an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person of Australia
  • provide evidence of personal financial circumstances which may include:
    • Centrelink Income Support Statement indicating a regular payment; or
    • Proof of income (Australian Taxation Office Notice of Assessment for the most recent financial year and payslips covering the most recent two months); and
    • Concession, Healthcare and Medicare card(s)

*If you are financially dependent on your family/guardians, you will need to provide documentation of their income.

Accommodation Costs Scholarship applicants must also:

  • provide evidence to show you have relocated from a regional or remote area at least 50 km to study on-campus
    • extra consideration is given to those students from more remote areas within Australia according to the Modified Monash Model 2023 Classification - refer .
Please Note: If an applicant holds other 91破解版 awarded scholarships, this may be taken into consideration in selection. There are some scholarships that cannot be held together.
