As a graduate, you’ll be equipped to use your knowledge of modern machinery and equipment to take on the future of technical mechanics. Potential roles include:

  • mechanical engineering technologist
  • technical sales engineer
  • production manager
  • building service technician
  • CAD operator
  • CAM operator
  • maintenance technician or planner
  • manufacturing planner or supervisor
  • mechanical drafter or designer
  • mechanical engineering officer.

Additional career paths include roles in maintenance, machine and mechanical design, air-conditioning and elevator systems, resource extraction, waste processing, computer aided design and manufacturing or specialist.

Professional accreditation

As a graduate of the Bachelor of Engineering Technology, you will eligible to apply for membership with as an Engineering Technologist. After gaining experience from working in the field, you can apply for chartered status as an Engineering Technologist.
